Saturday 8th June 2019, St Albans

Drawing from round 1 results, on the night we raced against Hatfield A, CoStA, Bishop’s Stortford, Harpenden and Cheshunt. The team once again championed fantastic team spirit on poolside, also noticed by some of our officials, and consistently improved skills in the water. Many PBs were achieved on the night as well as five 2nd and eight 3rd places.

At the end of the gala Hertford was placed 5th, which keeps us in 9th position after the second round in Division 1 of the Herts Peanuts League. Our young swimmers raised up to the challenge against some tough competition and keep showing signs of progress.

As sometimes happens, we had some last-minute withdrawals due to injuries/illnesses and I would like to thank all reserves that were called with short notice and their parents for attending the gala. Teddy went to Laura Malagoli for changing her long-planned weekend and jumping on board to support the team.

Well done everybody, round 3, which will take place on Sat 6th July, promises to be very exciting!
