Saturday 23rd March 2019, Hemel Hempstead

Saturday 23rd March saw Hertford SC Team travel to Hemel Hempstead for the 3rd and final round of Major League.

On the night we were set to compete against Berkhamsted, Bishop’s Stortford, Royston, Stevenage and Tring and determined to defend our place in Division 1 of the League.

The Team showed great focus on the task at hand, which included managing racing speed and effort for the older swimmers and giving it all for the younger swimmers. Many impressive races were recorded which secured us seven 1st, nine 2nd, seven 3rd places and a total of 37 PBs.

The massive effort put in by the team saw us finish 3rd on the night and achieve a well deserved final 8th place in the league, an improvement by two places from last year, and which secures us a place in Division 1 for 2020.

Teddy went to the Girls Open Relay Team (Maddy Smith, Olivia Creasey, Eve O’Conner, Troy Metz) to celebrate the many years of swimming together: 3 of the girls are approaching the end of school. We wish them the best of success in life!
